I want to know how a 82 year old DD only has 170k miles. He might have owned it for that long but I’m sure it wasn’t his only car.

He probably only ever drove it down the block or to the next town over once in a few months.
Also it doesn’t actually say it was his Daily Driver, so it could indeed have been a 2nd, 3rd, or 497th car.

That’s pretty awesome. The odometer probably rolled over a few times, but I’m sure he had to have another car to daily drive. I can’t imagine that would be too practical in modern times, especially for an elderly guy.

Can confirm. I met Mr Swift before he died and saw his car (in fact I was there when that photo was taken). His car is now in the museum of Springfield history
Bonus fun fact: Springfield is the only city in North America ever to manufacture Rolls Royces
